Meet Lena Neely, Probate & Trust Paralegal
Lena manages the trust and estate team covering all aspects of trust and estate administration. Her greatest joy is meeting with family members to assist them in the administration process for the transition of assets from the decedent to the beneficiary. She brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients.
She works with clients in opening estate accounts and, when needed, pays expenses, balances accounts, and provides accountings to the heirs in preparation for closing the estate. She assists in the preparation and filing of the Informal and/or formal settlement for each estate.
She also assists in a wide range of related matters including the determination of heirs, preparation and filing of Federal and State Inheritance and Estate Tax Returns, and preparation and filings for final Federal and State individual income tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. She has been involved with the drafting and executions of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and living will directives.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked in litigation in the preparation and processing of court documents and obtaining medical records.
She has been happily married for 25 years and is the mother of 4, grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 1, and godmother of 3. She loves reading and spending time with the grands. She also enjoys singing and is the lead soprano of her church’s choir.
