Rosalyn Carothers

Meet Rosalyn A. Carothers, J.D.

Rosalyn Carothers has been practicing law in Louisville and Southern Indiana since 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where she received two Bachelor’s Degrees. One in music and the other, her law degree. Roz focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and asset protection. She is also an adjunct professor for a course on trusts and estates law at Western New England University School of Law.

In 2018, she formed an association with Charlie Triplett of Triplett Law Office to create Triplett & Carothers, formalizing a business relationship with a trusted colleague of ten years.

Her planning is based on the motto, “Don’t let Uncle Sam or an attorney be your primary beneficiary!” Roz is known for her ability to explain complex concepts in a way that clients can understand.

Roz is a former adjunct faculty member for Oakland City University where she taught a course on business ethics. She served as the Ethics Vice-President for the Financial Planning Association, and as the attorney for the regional board of the March of Dimes. She was a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors for the University of Louisville.

Roz remains deeply involved with her passion for music, serving on numerous boards with a music mission including: as President of the University of Louisville Music School Alumni Board; as the President of the Louisville Youth Orchestra Board of Directors; as Co-President of the 1798 Committee for the Music School at the University of Louisville; and, currently, as the President of The Friends of the School of Music.

Outside the office, she plays Celtic and bluegrass fiddle and has performed with Drowsy Maggie, Galloglass, Gilderoy Byrne, and the Bluegrass Messengers. She currently performs bluegrass music with Millers Folly.
