Saturday, December 4th was the night we gathered our School of Music Alumni Council and the Friends of the School of Music to sponsor our annual bourbon-tasting fundraiser, this year at Ricky B’s Club Café.

(Roz Carothers is President of both the School of Music Alumni Council and the Friends of the School of Music.)

With over 80 attendees, the sold-out event featured several varieties of bourbon for tasting, a silent auction including 22 baskets of rare and hard-to-find bourbons and dinner in the restaurant, … accompanied by music with noted musician (and club owner) Rick Bartlett at the piano.

In the spirit of the season, 10 percent of all proceeds from the restaurant that night, and the silent auction and ticket proceeds — totaling over $6,000 — went to the School of Music Alumni Council and the Friends of the School of Music.
