To kick off our inaugural fundraiser, a few selected Cardinal Marching Band Booster Club supporters had the awesome opportunity to select the “barrel pick” from an array of bourbon barrels at Old Forester in August.
A “barrel pick” or “single barrel selection” refers to the process where a group of whiskey enthusiasts hand-select a single barrel of bourbon from a distillery. The selected barrel is then bottled and branded indicating it’s a barrel pick. These picks are exclusive, meaning that specific barrel is not available anywhere else.
The release date in December yielded 210 bottles; Triplett and Carothers sponsored the purchased of the barrel so 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the individual bottles will go directly to the Cardinal Marching Band.

And a huge thanks to those who already purchased our bourbon bottles. In fact, when we learned the Cardinals Marching Band, now numbering over 200 members, could not all fit on the charter flight to the Boca Raton Bowl in December, proceeds from the sales of the bourbon funded part of the commercial flights for an additional twelve students. Go Cards fans and alumni!
