Our health and fitness focus for this month is all about strength training. Benefits found in strength training include making you stronger, decreasing falls and lowering your risk of injury. Beyond the obvious, it helps burn calories more efficiently, decreases abdominal fat, and improves heart health. Basically, there’s something for everyone in strength training.
Both firm Founder Roz Carothers and firm Client Concierge Reggie Garcia work with Brenna Tomlinson on a regular basis, usually for thirty-minute sessions a few times each week.
From Reggie who also is a triathlete: “It has improved my balance and my speed for competitive biking and running. I have had fewer injuries, too.”
From Roz: “Strength training has given me more energy on a day-to-day basis and I know it improves circulation. As with any exercise, the mental health benefits include clarity of focus and boosting overall mood. I am a true believer.”

Brenna can be found at Baptist Health/Milestone Wellness Center and may also be hired for personal strength training. She strives for “optimal athletic performance, improved physical appearance and/or improvement in daily, functional activity” for her clients.
